Rachel and Daniel got married last weekend at Lake Tinaroo and I was pleased to be asked to be their Lake Tinaroo wedding photographer. What a fantastic day it was! The weather was fabulous and the setting was perfect. Rachel and Daniel were going to get married earlier in the year but, like may couples this year, due to COVID had to postpone. THEN they were going to get married next year….but there was a mix up with that booking. Soooo they bought everything forward ( or back ) to October and finally they got married..YAY!
The entire days events all happened at Tinaroo Lake Resort . It’s the perfect wedding venue really. No driving to and fro. The bridal party got ready there, the guests stayed there, the ceremony was held there and everyone got together for the celebration reception dinner in the The Lodge Restaurant. Kylie and Brett do a fabulous job and everything runs smoothly.
My first stop of the day was Daniel and the boys getting ready. It didn’t take long for them to throw on their suits and have some photos. We had plenty of time to head outside to take some photos with Daniels’ pride and joy – his shiny red HZ Holden. Once I was finished with the boys I headed over to see Rachel and the girls.
The girls were just finishing off their hair and makeup while I took some photos of the dresses, shoes, flowers and jewellery. The girls helped Rachel get ready and then we did some more photos with the bridesmaids and Rachel’s parents. When I was finished with the girls, I made my way down to the ceremony location beside the Lake in front of the resort.
Rachel arrived at the ceremony in Daniel’s very shiny red Holden. Her Dad walked her down the aisle passing friends and family there to witness this much anticipated day. Cheyenne Trevor did a wonderful ceremony, which was over in no time! Paper work and introduction complete, everyone gathered for a big group photo with the bride and groom. This followed by photos with family and friends before I took the bridal party for a short wander lake front for some photos.
The bridal party photo session started with some photos down by the Barron River. We had to politely ask some fishermen if we could use the river bank they had positioned themselves on for photos. They were happy to oblige. Then it was off to find some dirt roads, big trees and cane paddocks for some fun and games with the bridal party. Last stop was a beautiful jacaranda tree by the side of the road in full flower!
We made it back to the reception just in time. The bridal party made their entrance and entre was served not long after. Dinner, amusing speeches, cake cutting and dancing ( because this is now allowed! ) followed.
A huge and hearty congratulations to Rachel and Daniel! Thank you for asking me to capture your Lake Tinaroo wedding photography, it was such a pleasure. I had plenty of laughs and heaps of fun at your wedding!
