Lynette and Michael’s wedding at Cairns Colonial Club
Last weekend I had the great pleasure of being Lynette and Michael’s Cairns wedding photographer. The weather was sunny and warm. The wedding was held at the Cairns Colonial Club in the their lush rainforest garden gazebo.
Lynette was attended by four gorgeous bridesmaids dressed in black and four very cute little flower girls! Michael may have shed a tear as Lynette, looking stunning in her lace gown, made her way to him on the arm of her Dad. Annette from the Yarrabah church performed a lovely ceremony which included a reading from one of the Aunties. Vows were promised and rings were exchanged before Annette pronounced them to be husband and wife! Hooray! With the paperwork complete Annette presented them to the guests as Mr and Mrs!
After the ceremony all of the guests, about 250 of them, gathered in the garden with Michael and Lynette for me to take a photo of everyone from the balcony above the garden. Photos with friends and family followed.
When the family photos were complete it was time to head off for the bridal party photo session. Lynette’s Mum had arranged a super stretch Hummer limousine from Hummers and Harley’s, to take everyone to the photo shoot. It was soooooo long! ( the Hummer not the photo shoot! ) and with a 6.5 litre V8 engine under the bonnet it did the job of moving everyone easily! We cruised around town and out to a cane paddock and rainforest location for the photos.
Once the photos were done, Lynette and Michael and their bridal party were transported in luxury back to the reception to party away the rest of the night and celebrate their marriage. Congratulations Lynette and Michael and thank you for asking me to be your Cairns wedding photographer – it was fun!
