Anne-Marie and Luke’s wedding at St Theresa’s Church and Cairns Colonial Club.
Great Cairns wedding photography is made easier when we have had such amazing weather here for the past few weeks and Anne-Marie and Luke’s wedding day was no different! I’d just like to say I LOVE Italian weddings! Everyone is so happy and laughing and have such a good time at their family weddings! First stop for me was Luke’s parents place near Gordonvale for Luke’s getting ready photos. I arrived into a great cacophony of sound as quite a few of Luke’s extended family members were there to get ready and celebrate this happy day! Luke and the boys got ready and then we headed outside for some photos under the big shady tree in the back yard. Back inside I chose the lounge room for Luke to have photos with everyone, all the while Luke’s family teased and joked with him, making taking the photos easy for me!
Next stop Anne-Marie and Luke’s place for Anne-Marie’s getting ready photos. Not quite so raucous there but more and more family members arrived the closer it got to leaving time. Anne-Marie’s cousins Sandra and Jessica were here bridesmaid. Sandra Gallo was finishing Anne-Marie’s make-up when I arrived. Anne-Marie’s parents were getting little Aiden and flower girl Bella ready. It was a mad rush at the end with only 25 minutes to do photos before everyone climbed into the awaiting wedding cars and headed to the church.
I made it to the church ahead of the bridal party for some photos of Luke outside the chapel before they arrived. Once the bridal cars arrived it was all systems go! Aiden was walked down the aisle by his Uncle Chris and almost everyone was in the aisle to take a photo of him! He was pretty cute with his curly hair and neat little suit! Aiden that is!
Once everyone was inside Father Kerry started the service. There were bible readings from the guests, then the actual wedding ceremony, before long Anne- Marie and Luke were married!
Outside the church everyone gathered undercover for a group photo and flower shower with the bride and groom. This was followed by photos with family and friends, before we all jumped into our cars and headed out in procession to a sugar cane farm at Gordonvale.
Anne-Marie and Luke’s friend Tammy met us at her parents farm and was the perfect host driving Glen the videographer and I around the farm to perfect photo locations. The rainforest creek at the back of the farm was a real surprise! Tammy was very helpful traipsing through the creek holding up Anne-Marie’s dress so we could get to the perfect location! Cane farm photos done, then a quick stop back at Luke’s parents house for some photos with Luke’s beloved Commodore.
I arrived back at the reception ahead of the the bridal party and took some venue photos around the seated guests whilst awaiting their arrival. Anne-Marie and Luke and the bridal party made their entrance and it was time to eat, drink, dance and have a big celebration party!
Congratulations Luke and Anne-Marie! Thank you for asking me to do your Cairns wedding photography, it was a fabulous day!
