Chris and Adrianna’s Port Douglas wedding
Being a Port Douglas wedding photographer is the best job ever and you need to be ready at a moments notice for a change of plans! Chris and Adrianna had intended marrying on the beach at the Pullman Sea Temple Port Douglas.…..BUT it just happened to be raining a LOT last week when they came to Port Douglas from South Australia for their wedding. The decision was made to move the wedding to the gorgeous St Mary’s Chapel by the Sea.
Although it didn’t actually pour with rain, it did show us a few sprinkles, so it was a wise decision to move the ceremony indoors. St Marys’ Chapel by the Sea is the perfect indoor wedding location in Port Douglas. The ceremony was performed by the lovely Sarah Woods and included a reading by one of the guests. With the paperwork and congratulations all complete, I set everyone up for a group photo and flower shower with the bride and groom. This was followed by photos of guests with the bride and groom. Then we headed off down to the beach, brollies in hand, to take some photos under the dramatic and rainy skies.
Chris and Adrianna were awesome and up for anything I suggested and we got some fabulous photos with the dark and threatening skies above. We did have to use the brollies at one stage, but we drove to a new location and the rain stayed away – at least till we were almost finished with the photos!
Back to Sea Temple and a few photos by the very inviting pool, before I left Chris and Adrianna to celebrate with their guests and party the night away!
Congratulations Chris and Adrianna, I’m so pleased you asked me to be your Port Douglas wedding photographer, it was a fun day!
