Rebecca and Clifton came from country Victoria to be married in an intimate ceremony on the balcony at Thala Beach Lodge near Port Douglas. The weather had been pretty ordinary with lots of heavy rain a few days before, so it was a relief to see the sun shining down enthusiastically on the morning of their wedding!
Jan Defferard performed their ceremony with Angie, from Thala and myself acting as witnesses. After the official paperwork was all signed and sealed, Angie drove us around the Resort in a golf buggy for the photo shoot. It was quite windy down on the beach but we were not deterred from rock climbing to get some awesome shots! Rebecca and Clif did well to negotiate the rocky headland in their wedding clothes!
Back up to the restaurant for the cake cutting, before I left Rebecca and Clif to enjoy their celebratory lunch, the rest of their day and New Year’s Eve.
Congratulations Rebecca and Clifton and best wishes to you both for a long and happy life together.
Here is a my favorite photo from the afternoon and a video of the day. You may also like to check out their on-line album.
2011 was a busy year for me and 2012 is looking good! I put together this 5 minute video of some of my favorite images from weddings and other shoots I have done this year. It was a difficult task to get it down to five minutes! A big thank you to all my lovely brides and grooms, pregnant Mum’s and Dad’s and families I have photographed through out the year….it was my absolute pleasure to photograph every single one of you and capture these special moments in your lives. Thank you for trusting me with this important task. I am passionate about photography and so privileged that I can do something that I love so much as a full time job. Enjoy the video!
Peita and Glen were married at Sea Temple Resort and Spa at Port Douglas on the 19th November.
I received this lovely email from them yesterday….
Hi Tracey.
Got my photos today!
Thankyou so much, they are perfect. We absolutely love them!!!!
Thankyou for sending them so quickly and for making everything so easy for us … both to organise and on the day. You were fantastic!!!
If I ever know of anyone getting married up your way I will highly recommend you
Recently I entered four images into the International Loupe Awards. There were over 2900 entries. I am very pleased with my results of 1 Silver Award and 3 Bronze Awards! The images are below and thank you to my lovely brides and grooms for allowing me to enter their images in the awards.
Vicky and Paul came with their kids all the way from New Zealand to be married on Four Mile Beach outside the Sheraton Mirage at Port Douglas. The ceremony was at 10.30 in the morning and they could not have chosen a better day! It was warm and sunny with a slight cooling breeze. Sarah Woods performed the ceremony with myself and Melanie, the hair and make-up artist acting as witnesses.
After the ceremony we took lots of photos walking on the beach with the kids, then moved into the shade for some nice family photos together.
It was such a nice, warm and sunny day that Vicky decided that it was the perfect time to go for a swim…in her wedding dress! We walked around the pool, not all 5 acres of it, but most of it, to find a deep spot for Vicky to take the plunge….and she did! The water looked so inviting! It was hard to keep the kids out of the pool in their good clothes!
Here are two of my favorite shots from Vicky and Paul’s wedding. Congratulations to Vicky and Paul and thank you for having me as your photographer! It was fun!
Veronica and Shawn were married by Natasha Kollosche at the stunning little seaside chapel, St Mary’s by the Sea, in Port Douglas, on Saturday 29th October at 3pm. Veronica looked gorgeous in her white wedding dress with her really cool purple sparkly shoes!
A group photo with flower shower in front of the Chapel was followed by family and friends photos in the shade next to the little chapel.
We headed down to the beach behind the chapel for some photos with the bridal party, then a few quick shots over by the Sugar Wharf. Then everyone piled into the super stretch for a trip out to the local rainforest timber bridge for a walk in the cool of the rainforest and some photos by the crystal clear running creek.
We made it back to Sea Temple Resort and Spa in time to start the reception at 5.30. I took photos of the venue set up by the pool and a mock cake cutting with Veronica and Shawn, before running away and leaving them to enjoy a great evening of fun and celebration with their family and friends!
Thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer Veronica and Shawn, it was heaps of fun! Below are a few images from their wedding day and a video of highlights. You can also check out Veronica and Shawn’s on-line album to see some more photos from their wedding day.
Lani and Nathan’s couldn’t have chosen a nicer day to get married on four mile beach at Sea Temple Resort on the 16th October. The afternoon before we had big storms with lots of rain, but it all stayed away for Lani and Nathan’s wedding!
Sarah Woods performed a lovely ceremony which included readings from Nathan’s sister and Lani’s Dad. A group photo on the beach was followed by photos of family and friends with Lani and Nathan.
I took photos of Lani and Nathan on the beach, with some cartwheels performed by Nathans and his brother Aaron! Down to the sugar wharf for some photos as the sun was setting before heading back to Sea Temple for the reception.
Below are a few of my favorite images from Lani and Nathans’ wedding day. To see more photos check out their on-line album.
The weather was perfect and the setting was lovely on the beach at Sea Temple Port Douglas. The ceremony was held under the big She-oak tree with the tide lapping at Kristy and Daniel’s feet. Kristy and Daniel’s daughter, Ebony did a great job of scattering rose petals for Kristy to walk over as she made her way down the aisle on the arm her Dad. Sarah Woods performed the ceremony and Kristy and Daniels’ little boy, Jai delivered the rings in the shell exactly as he’d been asked to!
A group and family photos with the bride and groom followed the ceremony. Then everyone made their way up to the Resort for drinks while Kristy, Daniel and I had a walk along the beach and then a wander around the Resort taking photos.
I left Kristy and Daniel shortly after to join their guests for the reception inside the Resort.

Kirsty and Chris eloped with their gorgeous, smiley baby boy, Caleb to Port Douglas. The weather was glorious, warm and sunny! I love winter in Far North Queensland! The wedding ceremony was held at the Sea Temple Resort and Spa and performed by Sarah Woods.
The ceremony didn’t take very long and then it was off for a photo shoot on the beach, around the Resort and into Port Douglas. I really enjoyed photographing Kirsty and Chris, they had such a great time! Thanks for asking me to be your photographer Kirsty and Chris. It was my pleasure!
Below are some of my favorite images from Kirsty and Chris’s wedding. We got some great sunset shots! Thanks for hiking out there through the mangroves in your lovely shoes Kirsty!
You may like to check out their on-line album to see some more shots from Kirsty and Chris’ special day.
Tracey and Gerard, came from NSW and were joined by family and friends to celebrate their marriage at the Sheraton Mirage in Port Douglas on the 6th of May. The ceremony was planned for the beach but as it turned out to be quite windy it was moved to the waterfall at the Sheraton. What a great place to have your ceremony! It was sunny and warm and the waterfall was flowing quite nicely!
Tracey looked absolutely gorgeous in her figure hugging latte coloured gown. Kristy from Blush Hair and Make-up did a fabulous job on Tracey and Kristen’s, her bridesmaid, hair and make-up. Gerard was looking sharp, if a little nervous when I arrived at the ceremony to photograph him and Shane awaiting Tracey’s arrival.
Sarah Woods performed a lovely ceremony which included a ring warming and a vow of fun from the guests! After the ceremony and the official paper work Tracey and Gerard were surrounded by their family and friends for a shower of petals. This always makes an excellent photo! Photos of family and friends with the bride and groom followed. Before too long it was time to jump in the cars and head off for the bridal shoot. First stop, a lovely rainforest creek just out of town, then back into Port to the sugar wharf for some shots on the little beach behind St Mary’s Chapel. Tracey and Gerard were very co-operative, especially when I asked them to traipse through the mudflats so we could get a sunset shot! Which was sooo worth it!!
The reception was held back at the Sheraton outdoor at their “Gilligan’s Island” location. I had the best day with you guys! Thanks for asking me to be your photographer Tracey and Gerard!
Below are some of my favorites from Tracey and Gerard’s wedding day….there were so many favorites! You can check out their on-line album to see more from the day.
