Aletta and Chris were joined by family and friends at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas for their wedding inside the Crystal Chapel.
Aletta looked stunning! The ceremony was performed by Natasha Kollosche and included a lovely reading by Chris’ Dad and Aletta’s sister.
As they left the chapel Aletta and Chris were showered with flower petals and confetti! A group photo with all of their guests was followed by photos with family and friends. We then headed down to the beach front for some photos with the bridal party. Some more photos just out of town with just Aletta and Chris then it was back to the Sheraton for their reception at Il Pescatore Restaurant.
Thank you for having me as your photographer Aletta and Chris, it was a fun day! Below are a few of my favorite images from Aletta and Chris’ wedding day, along with a highlights video. You may also like to check out their on-line album to see more photos from Aletta and Chris’ special day.
Chanelle and Stephen came from Brisbane to be married in tropical North Queensland at St Mary’s by The Sea Chapel in Port Douglas.
Chanelle and Stephens’ wedding was at 12 o’clock and performed by Father Barry in front of around 40 guest from around the globe! A group photo with everyone was followed by family photos beside the chapel. We then all headed off for photos with the bridal party on the beach, at the sugar wharf and by a crystal clear rainforest creek not far from town.
Chanelle and Stephen’s reception was held at the Sheraton Mirage, Port Douglas.
Thank you for having me as your photographer Chanelle and Stephen, it was heaps of fun! Check out Stephen and Chanelle’s on-line album to see the photos from their wedding day. In the meantime below are a few of my favorites and a video of highlights from the day.
Geoff and Vanessa were married at St Mary’s By The Sea Chapel in Port Douglas on the 3rd September. It was the best wedding I have been to for ages! I have just relived it all when editing their photos with a smile on my face the whole time! They just had such a good time! When Sarah Woods, the celebrant who performed their ceremony, pronounced them Mr and Mrs all of their guests went wild! It is the loudest I have heard cheering in that little chapel EVER in almost 12 years of photographing weddings in there!!
Lots of hugs of congratulations outside the chapel was followed by a group photo of Vanessa and Geoff with all of their guests, then family and friends photos with the bride and groom.
We then headed down to the beach in front of the Chapel and over to the Sugar Wharf for bridal party photos. A short drive out of town to a cool rainforest creek for some more photos.
Vanessa and Geoff held their reception at Birdsong B & B near Port Douglas. This house is amazing! The main room was set with tables for 80 guests with a buffet style spit roast outside. I stayed for about an hour before heading off and leaving Geoff and Vanessa to celebrate on into the night! (which I am quite sure they did with gusto!).
Below are couple of my favorite images from their wedding day and a highlights video. You may like to view Vanessa and Geoff’s on-line album as well.
Thank you Geoff and Vanessa for asking me to be your wedding photographer and share in this special day with you. I had the best time! I wish you lots of laughter and happiness for the future.
Last weekend I had a ball photographing Vanessa and Geoff’s wedding in Port Douglas! Vanessa made this lovely comment on my facebook wall………

Thanks Ness! I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now!
The weather was perfect, the bridesmaids and flower girls were gorgeous and Alisa looked stunning! Marcus and the boys were looking pretty sharp n the day as well!
The ceremony was performed by Sarah Woods and included a butterfly release outside the chapel after the ceremony.
Photos around the gardens and on the beach with the bridal party, then Lisa and Marcus and I headed off for a photo session with just the two of them.
The reception was held under the stars on “Gilligan’s Island at The Sheraton.
Thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer Lisa and Marcus, it was heaps of fun and certainly my pleasure to capture this special day for you.
Below is a highlights video. You can also check out Alisa and Marcus’s on-line album.
Kirsty and Chris eloped with their gorgeous, smiley baby boy, Caleb to Port Douglas. The weather was glorious, warm and sunny! I love winter in Far North Queensland! The wedding ceremony was held at the Sea Temple Resort and Spa and performed by Sarah Woods.
The ceremony didn’t take very long and then it was off for a photo shoot on the beach, around the Resort and into Port Douglas. I really enjoyed photographing Kirsty and Chris, they had such a great time! Thanks for asking me to be your photographer Kirsty and Chris. It was my pleasure!
Below are some of my favorite images from Kirsty and Chris’s wedding. We got some great sunset shots! Thanks for hiking out there through the mangroves in your lovely shoes Kirsty!

What an amazing day! The weather was perfect! The sun was shining warm and the sea was sparkling when I arrived at Boonooloo Beach House to shoot Heidi’s getting ready photos. Shae from Tropical Beauty was doing Heidi’s hair and make-up, so I busied myself with photos of the dress, shoes, flowers and jewellery. Heidi looked stunning! Her dress was beautiful and flowers just right. We took some photos round the beach house of Heidi, her mum and bridesmaid. Then I scurried off to Port Douglas to photograph Gareth awaiting Heidi’s arrival at the St Marys by the Sea Chapel.
Heidi was delivered by Thunder, my favorite horse and his white carriage with Derani from Horses in Port driving. Family and friends watched Heidi arrive before all heading back inside the church for the lovely ceremony performed by Sarah Woods.
After the ceremony everyone gathered in front of the Chapel for a group photo including a flower shower, followed by family and friends photos with the bride and groom. In the meantime Derani had unharnessed Thunder from his carriage so we could take photos with him on the beach. I think he enjoyed his walk along the beach with Heidi and Gareth!
From there we headed to a rainforest creek with a lovely timber bridge crossing it for some bridal party photos. We also stopped in a paddock on the way back to take some more shots in the afternoon light. Back into town we took a breather at the sugar wharf before Heidi and Gareth and their guests boarded the Lady Douglas for a river cruise up Dickson Inlet. They even spotted 3 crocodiles basking in the sun!
After the river cruise everyone headed back up to Boobooloo where the reception was held. I stayed for about an hour then left everyone to the celebrations. Thank you for an awesome day Heidi and Gareth! It was fun!
Below are some of my favorite images from Heidi and Gareth’s wedding day. You can also check out their on-line album to see more photos from the day.
Tracey and Gerard, came from NSW and were joined by family and friends to celebrate their marriage at the Sheraton Mirage in Port Douglas on the 6th of May. The ceremony was planned for the beach but as it turned out to be quite windy it was moved to the waterfall at the Sheraton. What a great place to have your ceremony! It was sunny and warm and the waterfall was flowing quite nicely!
Tracey looked absolutely gorgeous in her figure hugging latte coloured gown. Kristy from Blush Hair and Make-up did a fabulous job on Tracey and Kristen’s, her bridesmaid, hair and make-up. Gerard was looking sharp, if a little nervous when I arrived at the ceremony to photograph him and Shane awaiting Tracey’s arrival.
Sarah Woods performed a lovely ceremony which included a ring warming and a vow of fun from the guests! After the ceremony and the official paper work Tracey and Gerard were surrounded by their family and friends for a shower of petals. This always makes an excellent photo! Photos of family and friends with the bride and groom followed. Before too long it was time to jump in the cars and head off for the bridal shoot. First stop, a lovely rainforest creek just out of town, then back into Port to the sugar wharf for some shots on the little beach behind St Mary’s Chapel. Tracey and Gerard were very co-operative, especially when I asked them to traipse through the mudflats so we could get a sunset shot! Which was sooo worth it!!
The reception was held back at the Sheraton outdoor at their “Gilligan’s Island” location. I had the best day with you guys! Thanks for asking me to be your photographer Tracey and Gerard!
Below are some of my favorites from Tracey and Gerard’s wedding day….there were so many favorites! You can check out their on-line album to see more from the day.
Claire and John were married by Father Barry at the St Mary’s catholic church in Port Douglas last Thursday. They had traveled from Melbourne with Claire’s family. John’s family traveled all the way from Ireland to join Claire and John to celebrate their special day here in the tropical north.
Claire and Noeleen, her bridesmaid and her Dad arrived at the church right on time! Claire was looking radiant in her white gown with lots of sparkley bits! Claire’s Dad walked her down the aisle to her anxiously waiting husband to be. The ceremony lasted for around an hour. Congratulations were in order at the front of the church before we headed off to take the bridal party photos.
Robert from Cairns Luxury Limousines drove Claire and John, Brendan and Noeleen, following me in my little car to a timber bridge over a lush and cool rainforest creek. Some photos in there before heading back to the beach and the sugar wharf in town.
A short time later we arrived at the Sea Temple Resort and Spa where both families were assembled ready for the family photos. As Claire and John’s wedding was a small affair their reception was held on the roof of the penthouse suite at the Sea Temple. It was a lovely, intimate set up. A few more photos of the cake and then I was off to leave to Claire and John to celebrate their marriage with their family.
Thank you for having me as your photographer Claire and John. It was a great day! I really enjoyed being part of it, meeting you and your families and taking lots of photos!
Below are a few of my favs from the day. You may also like to view Claire and John’s on-line album to see some more images from their special day.
Daniel and Lisa were married on the anniversary of their first date 14 years ago! They chose The Sea Temple Resort and Spa at Port Douglas as the venue for their ceremony and reception. Actually, they were thinking about having their ceremony on Four Mile Beach but due to lots of rain, decided on the undercover poolside location at the Resort.
Lisa was attended by her sister Dani. Dani’s gorgeous curly blonde haired son, Jack was the page boy. Lisa looked stunning in her figure hugging, strapless wedding gown. I took some photos of the girls together, Lisa on her own and with their parents, then I headed off down to take some shots of Daniel awaiting the arrival of his beautiful bride. Daniel’s best man was his friend Gordon and they both looked very handsome in their black suits with frangapani corsages.
Lisa and Daniel’s wedding was a small intimate affair with around 20 guests who had traveled from Brisbane and other parts of the country. Vivian Reid performed their wedding ceremony, which lasted around 20 minutes. As the ceremony finished the rain came bucketing down, making sure there would be no outdoor photos! The guests gathered around Lisa and Daniel for a group shot of everyone in the foyer of the Resort. We took photos of Daniel and Lisa with their friends and family then moved onto the bridal party photo shoot. Photographing in low light and poor weather is always a challenge! I love to step up to the challenge though and try to be creative with what I have to work with. These conditions always make me work harder and smarter! Plus I never leave home without my trusty umbrellas’ in the boot of my car!
I am really happy with the results of my work. I hope you are too Lisa and Daniel! Thank you for having me as your photographer. I really enjoyed sharing your day (except for the bit where I had to walk through ankle deep water to get to Lisa’s room and have wet shoes and feet for the rest of the day!).
