My very last wedding for 2011……..Debbie and David came all the way from the UK with their three gorgeous children to renew their vows on the beach outside Sea Temple Resort at Palm Cove. They had originally booked to have the ceremony on the Friday but the weather was pretty horrible with lots of heavy rain, so we all agreed to change the day to Saturday…New Year’s Eve!
Saturday was lovely and sunny with blue skies…phew! Jan Defferard performed the ceremony with Fran and David from Palm Cove weddings, along with Debbie and David’s children, acting as witnesses. Debbie looked stunning in her latte coloured wedding gown. She actually owns a bridal shop in the UK and so had the pick of dresses for her special day!
A fun photo shoot on the beach and around the resort followed the ceremony. It was a really lovely and fun afternoon. Congratulations to Debbie and David and thank you for asking me to be part of this special day for you all here in sunny North Queensland, it was my pleasure!
Below is a lovely photo of Debbie and David taken in front of the Resort.
Rebecca and Clifton came from country Victoria to be married in an intimate ceremony on the balcony at Thala Beach Lodge near Port Douglas. The weather had been pretty ordinary with lots of heavy rain a few days before, so it was a relief to see the sun shining down enthusiastically on the morning of their wedding!
Jan Defferard performed their ceremony with Angie, from Thala and myself acting as witnesses. After the official paperwork was all signed and sealed, Angie drove us around the Resort in a golf buggy for the photo shoot. It was quite windy down on the beach but we were not deterred from rock climbing to get some awesome shots! Rebecca and Clif did well to negotiate the rocky headland in their wedding clothes!
Back up to the restaurant for the cake cutting, before I left Rebecca and Clif to enjoy their celebratory lunch, the rest of their day and New Year’s Eve.
Congratulations Rebecca and Clifton and best wishes to you both for a long and happy life together.
Here is a my favorite photo from the afternoon and a video of the day. You may also like to check out their on-line album.
Tash and Garth were joined by family and friends at the Sea Temple Resort at Palm Cove for their wedding on the 10th December. Tash looked gorgeous and happy as she walked down the aisle on the arm of her dad to meet Garth. The ceremony was performed by Phil Bignall from Tash and Garths’ local church.
It was a very hot day, actually around 35 degrees, so Tash and Garth did well to survive the heat dressed in all their wedding finery!
A group photo and then friends and family photos under the fans followed the ceremony, before Tash and Garth and I headed down to the beach for some photos.
We finished off at the jetty at Palm Cove, then I dropped Tash and Garth back to their reception at the Sea Temple.
Congratulations to Tash and Garth and thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer….it was a fun afternoon!
Below is a video of highlights from the wedding, you may also like to check out Tash and Garth’s on-line album here.
Louise and Brendan came from Brisbane for their wedding here in the Far North. Louise grew up around Mareeba and so it was only natural that she marry Brendan at St Thomas’ church in Mareeba. Friends and family came from everywhere to attend this happy occasion. Louise looked stunning as she walked down the aisle on the arm of her Dad. Louise’s nieces made very cute flower girls!
After the service I climbed the stairs to the Juliet balcony to take a photo from above the forecourt of all the guest below! Family photos followed then all the guest boarded a bus to Cairns for the reception. Louise and Brendan and I drove from Mareeba, stopping at scenic places along the way for photos. We finished taking photos at the Kuranda train station and this is where I left Louise and Brendan to head down the hill to join their friends and family to celebrate their marriage at the wedding reception.
Thank you for asking me to be your photographer on this special day in your lives Louise and Brendan….it was a fun afternoon!
Below is a video of some of my favorite photos taken on the day. You may also like to have a look at Louise and Brendan’s on-line album.
Peita and Glen were married at Sea Temple Resort and Spa at Port Douglas on the 19th November.
I received this lovely email from them yesterday….
Hi Tracey.
Got my photos today!
Thankyou so much, they are perfect. We absolutely love them!!!!
Thankyou for sending them so quickly and for making everything so easy for us … both to organise and on the day. You were fantastic!!!
If I ever know of anyone getting married up your way I will highly recommend you
Paula and Marty came from South Australia with their gorgeous little boy, Oliver to be married on the beach at Sea Temple Palm Cove last Friday. Once again we had great weather, with a slight breeze to keep us cool! The ceremony was at 3.30 with myself and Fay from Busy Bees Babysitting acting as witnesses, Wayne Rees did a fab job as usual!
A walk along the beach after the ceremony with Oliver dunking his feet in the ocean for some photos. We then headed down to the jetty at Palm Cove for some more photos by the sea. Back at Sea Temple, Paula talked Marty into a swim in the pool…in their wedding clothes! Other guests were delighted and entertained as the Bride and Groom enthusiastically plunged into the warm waters of the resort pool!
Congratulations to Marty and Paula and Oliver! Thank you for having me as your photographer, it was a fun afternoon! Here are a couple of favorites from Paul and Marty’s wedding.
Vicky and Paul came with their kids all the way from New Zealand to be married on Four Mile Beach outside the Sheraton Mirage at Port Douglas. The ceremony was at 10.30 in the morning and they could not have chosen a better day! It was warm and sunny with a slight cooling breeze. Sarah Woods performed the ceremony with myself and Melanie, the hair and make-up artist acting as witnesses.
After the ceremony we took lots of photos walking on the beach with the kids, then moved into the shade for some nice family photos together.
It was such a nice, warm and sunny day that Vicky decided that it was the perfect time to go for a swim…in her wedding dress! We walked around the pool, not all 5 acres of it, but most of it, to find a deep spot for Vicky to take the plunge….and she did! The water looked so inviting! It was hard to keep the kids out of the pool in their good clothes!
Here are two of my favorite shots from Vicky and Paul’s wedding. Congratulations to Vicky and Paul and thank you for having me as your photographer! It was fun!
Kim and Cameron were married at 4pm on the foreshore at Clifton Beach on 1st November. Kay Earl performed a lovely ceremony. It was quite windy on the beach that afternoon! After the ceremony we took some photos on the beach then headed inland to a rainforest creek to get out of the wind!
Below are a couple of my favorite shots from their afternoon wedding. Congratulations to Kim and Cameron and thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer!
Lani and Nathan’s couldn’t have chosen a nicer day to get married on four mile beach at Sea Temple Resort on the 16th October. The afternoon before we had big storms with lots of rain, but it all stayed away for Lani and Nathan’s wedding!
Sarah Woods performed a lovely ceremony which included readings from Nathan’s sister and Lani’s Dad. A group photo on the beach was followed by photos of family and friends with Lani and Nathan.
I took photos of Lani and Nathan on the beach, with some cartwheels performed by Nathans and his brother Aaron! Down to the sugar wharf for some photos as the sun was setting before heading back to Sea Temple for the reception.
Below are a few of my favorite images from Lani and Nathans’ wedding day. To see more photos check out their on-line album.
Lauren and Shane were married at Palm Cove on the 30th September 2011. You can see their story here. I recently received this lovely email from Lauren;
Hi Tracey,The photos look amazing. I was so excited to receive your text while I was away and then to see the photos…… I was speechless. I could not have been more excited or happy with them. I don’t know what else to say except thank you. I would shout from the top of the Angsana to everyone who was listening that if they’re planning on getting married, to use you as their photographer.
The whole day, to be honest, was perfect and I owe a lot of that to you. My whole family were so rapt with you and couldn’t speak highly enough of you and your services so from the bottom of my heart, truly thank you for everything you did for us on the day.
