Hot Air Ballooning

Monday, October 17th, 2011

I am a self confessed aviation nut, so any opportunity to go flying is met with great enthusiasm! Just after sunrise on Thursday Amanda and Ron got married in a hot air balloon high above the scenic Mareeba Valley with professional ballooning company Hot Air.
Here are a couple of images I shot on the morning and a photo of myself with Wayne Rees, the marriage celebrant, getting cozy in the balloon basket! Stand by for Amanda and Ron’s wedding photos soon!

What an amazing 2 days!

Friday, June 4th, 2010

Here I am at work again! I have just spent an amazing 2 days with the lovely Alena and her handsome husband, Berto!

Berto and Alena had their ceremony at Angsana yesterday with lots of surprises! Today I met them again for a Trash the Dress session in a beautiful rainforest creek near Port Douglas.

Bradley from Skysafari took this photo of me with Alena and Berto on a deserted sand Cay on the Great Barrier Reef yesterday. Stay tuned for Berto and Alena’s wedding and Trash the Dress photos coming up soon!

Can I be a chopper pilot?

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Last Friday Kay, the celebrant from Cairns Weddings, and I had the great pleasure of attending the wedding of Irene and Amadeus from Hong Kong on Vlassoff Cay.

I have decided that with all the chopper time I have been doing lately I must not be far off getting my license! (I wish!)

Monday’s Adventure!

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

A perfect day to travel to the Reef for a wedding and what better way to get there than to be flown in comfort by Bradley from Skysafari in his zippy little yellow R44 chopper.

Actually, two zippy little yellow choppers were flown to the Reef on Monday for Tina and Bobby’s wedding on Undine Cay!

Stay tuned for their photos coming soon!

My office on Tuesday!

I love my job!

Tuesday was an absolutely glorious day which started quite early at 3.30am! By 6.30am I was floating above the Atherton Tablelands photographing the wedding of Kristy and Nathan in a hot air balloon. The sun rose through the clouds making the perfect back drop to one of the most romantic ways to get married!

10am I was on the beach at Palm Cove photographing Kristy and Nathan before they went off to breakfast.

Here are some photos Bob took of me at work yesterday. Thanks to Hot Air for the in flight shot.
