Lidia’s belly photoshoot!

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

I first met Lidia when she booked me to photograph her and Doug’s wedding at Palm Cove in 2007.

In 2008 Lidia and Doug became my first Trash the Dress couple, and I won a prize for one of their photos!

On Friday Lidia was my first “belly photoshoot”! We had to come up with the perfect location for this intimate photo shoot. It took a few recces back and forth to find it, but the location we finally decided on was perfect, a lovely little rainforest grotto, with a crystal clear flowing creek. Thank goodness the baby didn’t decide to come while were trying to sort out a location!

Lidia had 5 weeks to go on the day of the shoot. We met up and drove together in my little four wheel drive to get to the spot. All the best spots are always hard to get to! But well worth the effort!

Every photoshoot with Lidia has been fun! Even with her big belly she was adventurous! We had lots of laughs and giggles along the way and we are both happy with the results we came up with! Lidia is positively glowing and as gorgeous as ever!

Thank you Lidia for letting me share these intimate photos on my BLOG and thank you for asking me to photograph you and your belly! I feel very privileged to share some of this special moment in your life and I can’t wait till bub arrives, ready for a photoshoot!

Cairns Wedding Photography – The Wedding of Aaron and Nicole on 10th May 2010

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Aaron and Nicole had a lovely small gathering of family and friends to witness their marriage at the Cairns Botanic Gardens. Aaron and Nicole’s families had traveled up from Victoria to be at the wedding.

Nicole arrived with her Dad in a 1968 model fiery red Mustang convertible driven by her two Mum’s!

The ceremony was performed by Kay Earl. Kay did a wonderful service, personalising the words and poems to reflect the lives and personalities of Aaron and Nicole.

After the ceremony we took a group photo of all the guests together in the gardens, followed by family photos with the bride and groom.

By the time we had finished family photos the light in the gardens was starting to fade. A quick dash around the gardens for some shots amongst the lush tropicalness, that is Cairns!

Outside, I couldn’t resist taking photos with the Mustang and one of the boys had brought along his Hummer as a bridal car! HAD to do some “boy shots” with that machine!

Thank you Aaron and Nicole for having me at your wedding. I enjoyed being your photographer and being part of your special day.

Below are a few shots from Aaron and Nicole’s wedding, you can also check out their on-line album to see the rest!

Palm Cove wedding photography – The Wedding of Corinna and Cameron on 1st May 2010

Friday, May 7th, 2010

Corinna and Cameron were married last Saturday at the picturesque Angsana Resort Chapel. As it has for the past 40 odd days without fail, it rained! Very unusual for this time of the year! It had all cleared up though by 2pm, just in time for Corinna’s arrival at the Chapel.

Corinna and the girls got ready at the Resort so it was just a short walk to the ceremony. The colour theme for the wedding was a stunning burnt orange colour teamed with black. An eye catching combination and very good for photos amongst the greenery of tropical North Queensland. Corinna and Cam’s little girl, Maddy, is 5 months old and was quite happy to be passed around and join in all the fun and games of a wedding! She was just too cute in her little white dress with an orange sash!

The ceremony was lovely and performed by Barry Waugh. ( I don’t think he plays cricket?)

After the ceremony we took photos with all the guests including a flower shower in front of the Chapel. Friends and family photos followed. A stroll along the avenue of palm trees next to the beach front for some fun shots of the guys and girls! Then we headed over to Paradise Palms Resort and Country Club, where the reception was held. Corinna had arranged for some golf buggies to be provided so we could have a zip around the golf course to take some photos.

When we arrived Angie and her assistant Katey were waiting for us, golf buggies all charged up and ready to go! Each couple grabbed a cart and away we went! First stop was the seventh hole! Definitely the most spectacular hole on the course, it is at the very top of the golf course and overlooks the entire property. Cam is a bit of a golf fanatic and Katey just happen to have some clubs for him to have a bash with! He couldn’t hide is disappointment when I told him we didn’t really have time for a round before the reception!

Last stop on the tour was the magnificent stone bridge, a must when taking photos at Paradise Palms!

Jennifer and MJ from MOD Videos were there to capture the day, always a pleasure to work with these guys.

Below are some of my favorite pics from the day….as you can see I had lots of favorites!

Check out Corinna and Cameron’s on-line album for more images from their wedding day.

Corinna and Cam, thanks for asking me to be your photographer! It was heaps of fun! I love my job, when I get to spend the day doing what I love with wonderful people, their friends and family!

A thank you from Janine and Jason

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Janine and Jason were married a few weeks ago and I received this lovely thank you email from them:

Hi Tracey,

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Just viewed our online album and the photos look divine! I can’t wait to get our photos in the mail now to get a better look at them all!

Your friendly nature put me at ease on the day and your professionalism and attention to detail is shown clearly in the end result – our photos. You really included everybody in the photos and we now have our special day captured and will be able to view and cherish them forever. Although something as special as captured memories is priceless, your packages are very affordable and I would have no hesitation recommending you to anyone getting married in the beautiful Tropical North Queensland!

Janine and Jason

Thanks guys! With all the work that goes into taking and processing a wedding it is really wonderful and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know that you have taken the time to write me such a lovely note of appreciation.

Palm Cove wedding Photography – The Wedding of Karen and Russell on 25th April 2010

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Karen and Russell came from Brisbane with their two children to be married at Palm Cove in an intimate ceremony with a couple of friends. The venue they chose was Sapphire Ridge, a private residence high above Palm Cove. The view from the timber deck is stunning, you can see from Cairns to Double Island. The weather was a little overcast but not raining!

Karen wore a gorgeous white Indian sari embroidered with lots of sparkles and beads!

Karen’s sister, Kath, is a celebrant and she performed a lovely ceremony. Karen and Russell’s two children, Daniel and Michaela were the ring bearings and did a great job.

After the ceremony we did some photos around the lush tropical gardens before Karen and Russell returned to their guests to mingle and enjoy some delicious nibblies prepared by the chef from award winning local restaurant Nu Nu’s. I left Karen and Russell to enjoy their reception and the gastonomic delight which was to follow!

Thank you for having me as your photographer Karen and Russell, it was fun!

Below are a couple of my favorites from their wedding day.
