The Wedding of Angie and Matt 23rd April 2009

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Angie and Matt came all the way from Canada to be married in Port Douglas, and what a wonderful day it turned out to be!

A romantic ceremony with just the two of them!

I helped Angie into her dress before taking some “getting ready” photos. Looking stunning in her lace up back dress we headed out to her waiting carriage! Literally! Thunder, a big grey horse, being driven by Derani from Andalusion Horse and Carriage, was waiting patiently in front of reception.  Angie gracefully stepped up into the white carriage and Thunder took her to her waiting groom!

Meanwhile Matt was being serenaded by some wonderful classical music while he awaited Angie’s arrival.

Kay Earl performed a lovely ceremony under the shady trees in the park overlooking the azure blue ocean.

Before the ceremony was complete, Jill from Cairns Ceremonial Doves handed Angie and Matt two snow white doves to release.

With the ceremony over we wandered around the park, along the beach and over to the old timber sugar jetty for some fun and relaxed photos.

The photos done, Angie and Matt enjoyed a late afternoon tour around the village in the carriage, sipping champagne along the way.

A perfect end to a wonderful day!

Congratulations to Angie and Matt and best wishes for a long and happy future together!

The Wedding of Tania and Daniel 18th April 2009

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Tania and Daniel were married by celebrant Marion Reed at Eden House, Yungaburra last weekend. Tania looked stunning in her gorgeous dress with emerald green inserts.

Daniel and his groomsmen looked very handsome dressed all in black. Little Wes looked like a miniature version of Daniel!

Tania and Daniel’s four beautiful children watched as their Mum and Dad tied the knot!

Some photos in the gardens of Eden House, then a cavalcade of Limos carried the bridal party to Tinaburra waters where we took a few shots lakeside. A quick stop along the way for some more photos and then onto the reception at the Atherton High School hall. Tania’s parents had been cooking for 3 days to cater for the 300 or so guests attending this wonderful event. The hall looked amazing!

Here are a couple of my favorite photos from their wedding day. Check out Daniel and Tania’s on-line album

Congratulations Tania and Daniel! What a great day!

The Wedding of Tracey and Reagan 17th April 2009

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

Last Friday was a huge day! Tracey and Reagan came from Perth to be married at St Clare’s Catholic Church in Reagan’s home town of Tully.

Friends and family gathered at 2.30pm for the ceremony, followed by photos next door in the grounds of the school Reagan attended.

We returned to Wendy’s magnificent garden for some photos and then on to Mission Beach for a few quick shots at a lovely rainforest creek and then to catch the last light on the beach at North Mission.

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day…..you may also check out their on-line album to see the rest of the images.

Congratulations to Tracey and Reagan!

The wedding of Katie and David 4th April 2009

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Katie and David were married on Saturday at Hillside Eden Garden on the Atherton Tablelands. I had met Katie and David and Davids’ best man, Adam in February to go over the finer details of their upcoming wedding. During our chat I discovered that David and Adam are both Australian Champion Glider pilots!

In the week leading up to their wedding the weather was perfect! Clear skies, no clouds and no wind. Ideal flying conditions! On the Friday before the wedding I introduced David and Adam to a different form of flying! I took them up for a fly in our Microlight aircraft. I flew David over the venue for their wedding for some aerial photos!

The day of David and Katies wedding was another beautiful North Queensland day!

Katie looked absolutely gorgeous! We took some preparation photos at Gumtree on Gillies B&B, then I headed off to Tarzali to photograph the boys and await the arrival of Katie, Ruth and Hannah (delightful and most well behaved flower girl EVER!).

Friends and relatives had traveled from far and wide to celebrate this happy day with David and Katie. Katies parents and sister and quite a few relatives came from England!

After the ceremony we took photos around the lush and tropical Gardens. Every corner you turn reveals a new “perfect” spot for a photo!

The reception was held at Mungalli Falls, just down the road. The reception area is built right next to the waterfall. Quite a spectacular sight tumbling past the restaurant!

Daivd and Katie’s cake was an original, with a replica glider perched on the top!

Thank you for asking me to photograph your special day Katie and David, it was fun!

I am eagerly awaiting a flight in a glider with David and Adam!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day. You can view Katie and David’s album at our on-line gallery.
